In an attempt to take YouTube head-on, social networking giant Facebook now started a new save videos feature that allows users to save videos for offline viewing. If you are using Facebook app on Android, you can now save your favorite videos and watch them offline later on. You need to update your existing app to enjoy the new feature.
The videos will be saved to the Facebook app and can be viewed only on the app offline. If you want to remove a video that you saved, you can click the ‘unsave’ option that will appear by long pressing on them.
Facebook has taken pretty long to introduce this most anticipated feature. Google’s YouTube has had the offline viewing option in India for quite a while now. While Facebook has added the feature to Android only, YouTube has enabled the feature both for Android and iOS platforms.
