Facebook is making its collection ads even better. Social networking giant is all set to introduce a new canvas template for Collection ads. The template would be available for buyers from next month.
To recall, Facebook announced its e-commerce-driven Collection ads in March. Collection ads contained a video on top and four recommended products below. Canvas was Facebook’s immersive mobile ad units that the company had launched in February 2016.
With the update Facebook wants to knot lifestyle images ads tagged with products within an immersive mobile experience. According to Facebook, the arrangement will help brans to showcase their products in context and create a more meaningful branded experience.
By introducing new canvas templates Facebook will help brands to target three key business objectives. First, acquiring new customers, second, showcasing a business and third and the foremost, selling products.
The social network added in its blog post, “Advertisers that have a Facebook product catalog can easily use the template to create a rich browsing experience, encouraging product discovery and engagement. After inspiring shoppers, the template’s call-to-action buttons and store locator maps help direct people to purchase.”
Alongside, Facebook also announced three new updates for Collection ads. They are the following:
Engagement Custom Audiences:
To enable brands to retarget people who have clicked on Collection ads in News Feed or Canvas.Store visits
To ensure that the ads can be used to drive store visits and in-store sales.
To allow brands track which products from the Canvas full-screen experience are driving traffic to their sites or applications
