A fortnight ago, we broke the news stating the launch of Internet.org by Facebook. It’s a Facebook initiative that majorly aims at offering affordable or free internet access within developing countries that are lacking at internet facilities.

Now, Facebook has launched first set of TV ads to promote this non-profit internet.org initiative. These internet.org ad campaigns are designed for appearing in Facebook ads and outdoor and currently will be launched in Australia and Canada this week.

With the ads, Facebook aims to show how a bunch of people in developing countries would have succeeded in making their dreams come true despite not being connected. A Facebook official said:

The regional campaign shows that the more we connect, the better the world becomes.”

The ads are created by Facebook’s in-house creative agency, The Factory and currently, two ads are airing on TV. Two additional ads set may appear in the coming weeks. As of now, Facebook has no plans to extend this campaign outside Canada and Australia.
