Facebook has been rolling out an entirely new feature for its users that will help them to find their friends in an entire new way. The feature is known as ‘shortcuts’ and is very similar to the way in which you use your phone number to get connected with other users on the social network. This is an 8-digit number that will help you to find your friends quickly without using their names.
When you enter your friend’s shortcut, the app will take you directly to their page. Though the feature is now available to a selected group of users, yet it is a great way to find friends who are beyond your reach and phone numbers. The move is said to be an attempt to prevent users sharing their phone numbers fearing the privacy breach.
