Facebook for iOs is all set to get new controls and layout features, though, for limited users in the UK and California as of now. The company is testing several new controls and features for a group of users who browse Facebook over their iPhone.
There have been key changes made to the app. In one of its kind change, users can now add looping videos instead of profile pictures. These profile pictures could be those of recorded simple greetings or snippets from a recent event they attended. For static profile images, Facebook has already been testing a feature that would allow users to temporarily change their image for a small period of time.
Alongside, changes are also made to the profile controls. A space is given on the top of profile that could be customized easily. A new ‘bio’ field has also been added to display a brief one-liner about who a user is or what they do for a living.
This new design for Facebook profile will have profile pictures centered and larger. Facebook is also looking at the ways to let users find mutual friends easily. All these features are in testing phase and experimental. Facebook might roll out the features for more users in future.
