Huawei Launches MateBook X Pro with FullVision Display and MediaPad 5 Tablet
Tech giant Huawei took to the underway Mobile World Congress 2018 (MWC) to announce its newest notebook, the Huawei MateBook X Pro and the MediaPad M5, company’s new tablet device. The tablet will be reportedly available in 8.4-inch display and one with a 10.8-inch panel variant.

The tech conglomerate boasts of its Huawei MateBook X Pro by claiming it the world’s first FullView touch-screen notebook. The device sports a 3K display up front with an impressive 91 per cent screen to body ratio. The MateBook X Pro is powered by Intel’s 7th generation Kaby Lake processors (up to Core i7) paired with the Nvidia MX150 GPU.

The device, as company reveals, comes with a metal uni-body design with a sandblast finish, a fingerprint sensor embedded in the power button (circa the MacBook Pro) and has a quad speaker setup with tweeters and subwoofers. Its keyboard is of full size, backlit and spill proof.
Weighing just 1.3 kg, The MateBook X Pro is available in space gray and mystic silver. The highlight of the device is its camera that pops up from one of the function keys in the keyboard.

Huawei MateBook X Pro Connectivity
For connectivity, the device is equipped with a Thunderbolt 3 port – which brings with it support for 4K displays and external graphic cards – and supports fast charging. A 30 minute charge can power the laptop for up to 6 hours, claims Huawei. With the laptop, buyers will get Microsoft’s instant translation inbuilt. Thanks to Microsoft-Huawei collaboration.

Huawei MediaPad 5 Table
Huawei’s new tablet, the MediaPad M5 will be valuable 10.8-inch display and 8.4-inch display variants. Moreover, both tablets come with Harman Kardon tuned speakers that Huawei claims deliver 360 degree sound. The battery lif of tablets is rated at 12 hours (video playback) with quick charge support built-in.
The major highlight of the tablets is 4G LTE support. Lookwise, they have 2K displays covered by 2.5D glass, a chassis made out of aluminium and minimal bezels up front.
