Instagram, the Facebook owned image and video based social network is all set to launch business profiles, similar to Facebook’s business pages. The social network is testing the project with select group of users and may launch the feature as soon testing completes. Instagram broke the news with Techcrunch and shred screenshots of the possible layout of the Instagram business profiles with the tech magazine.
An executive from the company explained it a bit and said:
“We are testing new business tools coming to Instagram in a few months,” but offered no specific details on a launch date or further information.

The to-be-added Instagram business profile will have several user-centric features including a contact call-to-action button, access to maps and directions, the ability for users to email the businesses and the ability for the business owner to specify what type of business the profile represents.
