There are good chances that Apple’s next -generation iPhone 7 (yet to come)may replace 3.5mm headphone jack with Apple-made wireless earphones in the box. If rumors are to be believed, iphone 7 will be available to the users with a single Lightning port (and no 3.5mm headphone jack) for connectivity as well as audio, along with wireless EarPods made at Apple.
Your existing Apple EarPpods will be compatible with the iphone7, however it needs to get a Lightning convert up (expected to be sold separately) for the purpose. This is not the first time when Apple killed features in its devices. If you remember, its MacBook Air ditched the compact disk drive, and MacBook launched last year came with just the one port.
On the specs front, iphone 7 plus is expected to have a larger 3, 100 mAh battery inside and a larger 256GB memory variant. We have to wait till Apple comes with more details.
