Lenovo, the leading smartphone maker announced the launch of its flagship phone series Z1 in India today. The company has funded the project and named it ZUK Z1. The device will be therefore dubbed and marketed in Indian markets as Lenovo ZUK Z1.
This premium build phone runs on Cyanogen OS and this becomes the major highlight of the device. The smartphone will be available with Cyanogen’s special Android-based software with varied range of customization features. The device is expected to run Cyanogen OS 12.1 out of the box, which is based on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.
On specs front, the ZUK Z1 features a 5.5 inch Full HD screen, and will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor. The smartphone comes packed with 3GB RAM and 64GB storage. The device houses a 13MP SONY IMX214 camera on the rear, and an 8MP front camera. Other key features of the device include 4G radios, support for Bluetooth, GPS, USB Type-C port, a fingerprint reader and Wi-Fi. It is powered by a 4100mAh battery.
