In an event to be held in China on June 13, Meizu could unveil its flagship metal 2 smartphone. Meizu has posted the images related to the event on Chinese social network. The smartphone will be the successor of the Meizu metal smartphone that company launched in last October.
The latest Meizu smartphone is rumored to have a MediaTek Helio P10 octa-core SoC clocked at 1.8GHz, and house a Mali T860 GPU. The device is paired with 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of inbuilt storage. The smartphone may have another 3GB RAM variant accompanied by 32GB of inbuilt storage. There’s also a microSD card slot for expansion.
The Meizu metal 2 smartphone may sport a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash, and the front camera will hold a 5-megapixel lens. The phone will have a full metal design, and pack a 4000mAh battery. If listing is to be believed the smartphone will run on Android 5.1 Lollipop-based Flyme OS out-of-the-box.
In other specifications, the device may include a 5.5-inch full-HD (1920×1080 pixels) display. The dimensions measures at 153.6~CHECK~75.6~CHECK~8.3mm, and weighs 166gms. The connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4/ 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.1, and GPS support. The specs are eerily similar to the M3 note launched in India earlier in May.
