HMD, the company that manufactures the Nokia phones, is gearing up to launch Nokia’s next flagship device. If sources are to be believed, the device might be named Nokia 9 and could feature an iris scanner. Besides Nokia 9, Samsung’s Galaxy S8 and S8+ are the smartphones that already have an iris scanner. The feature is also available with Windows 10 devices for Windows Hello biometric recognition.
Nokia 9 Features And Specs
The Nokia 9 is said to have a 5.5-inch Quad HD OLED display powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 processor coupled with Adreno 540 GPU. Moreover, the phone will have 6GB RAM and 64GB or 128GB storage on board.
On optics front, Nokia 9 may have a 22MP rear camera with Carl Zeiss optics and a 12MP front camera with fixed-focus. The phone also features a front-mounted fingerprint sensor and IP68 water and dust resistance capability. The phone runs Android 7.1.2 Nougat out-of-the-box.
Some reports also suggest that Nokia 9 may come with ‘OZO’ audio enhancements that reportedly support virtual reality. Nokia 9 is also rumored to have a 3800mAh battery with Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 4.0 feature inbuilt.
