On Thursday, Facebook launched Facebook for non-profits, a website meant to help nonprofits and non-governmental organizations to push their social initiatives using social network. In its official Facebook post, the company said that Facebook for non-profits would help them in having deep knowledge on running the institutions.
The site will help NGOs to strengthen their Facebook presence and enable them to leverage the platform at its best to track their goals. It will educate them how to effectively use social networking tools. The site will also show success stories and best practices pertaining to various NGOs.
The site would be divided into four sections:
• Get started.
• Raise awareness.
• Activate supporters.
• Raise funds.

We are inspired by how many people use Facebook to improve the lives of others and help their communities, and we are committed to helping people do more good through Facebook. This new site is one of the ways we’re supporting our large community of volunteers, donors and activists using Facebook to make the world a better place. When people are connected, they can achieve extraordinary things.
