Numbers In URL Don’t Impact Search Ranking

After several queries from webmasters, Google finally answered whether using numbers in URL helps in search rankings or not. In a recent Google webmaster help thread Googler John Mueller said that having numbers in a URL doesn’t impact search rankings.
John said:

“No, the number in the domain name doesn’t matter for ranking.” He then explained to the webmaster why they didn’t see their site ranking well by adding “sometimes ranking well in search can take a bit of time & work, so I’d keep it up!”

So, if you own a domain name www.carrycurry985.com, it doesn’t make any difference than a domain www.carrycurry985.com. So, a domain URL with or without numbers is equally fine. It hardly matters in terms of search rankings.
