Pepsi Launches P1S Android Smartphones In China, Available in Two Variants

It’s almost two months when beverages Juggernaut PepsiCo announced its plan to enter into Android Smartphone segment. Today, the company has announced its two Android Smartphone variants in the China.

The company won’t manufacture devices by own but has ventured with Shenzhen Scooby Communication Equipment Co. Ltd to manufacture a Smartphone with Pepsi’s brand on it. As of now, PepsiCo smartphones will be available only within the China.

PepsiCo has unveiled two variants of its Smartphone namely Pepsi P1, and the FDD-LTE supporting variant called P1s. The phone is currently available at 699 Yuan or 7200 INR. At this price, the phone will be available with a protective cover, USB cable and a charger.

The Pepsi Phone P1s has a 5.5-inch full HD 2.5D curved screen display, and is powered by a 1.7GHz MediaTek MT6592 octa-core processor. The device is paired with Mali 450-MP4 GPU and has 2GB of RAM.

The Smartphone offers 16GB internal storage, expandable using a microSD card. The smartphone features a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 5-megapixel selfie camera, a 3,000mAh battery, and a fingerprint scanner located at the back.

P1S includes dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi 802.1 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop wrapped under dido OS 6.1.
