Company’s maiden note device Redmi Note will barge the Indian smartphone market on December 2, if company officials are true. Initially Xiaomi refused any such plan but company’s Facebook page running a contest where they are giving free Redmi Notes to the winners.

Xiaomi had always escalated our expectations with their products. With Redmi note too, story would probably be same. Let’s take a look into the specifications that the device is built around and also check why you should have one for your gadget wardrobe.
Redmi Note: Design And Display
Let’s start with its design and display. If you are looking for a note device in under 10k budge, Redmi will surprise you. The device is made to offer large screen experience to those who are reluctant to pay huge. The device has large 5.5-inch HD display with 720 x 1280 pixels of resolution. It also offers a pixel density that up to 267 ppi. Its weight could be a turn-off as it weighs around 154 x 78.7 x 9.5. This is slightly more than other 5.5’’ devices in the segment.
Redmi Note: Operating System
The device runs on Xiaomi’s pet MIUI, based on Android 4.2.2 jelly Bean. It gives users an iOs kind of experience with its drawerless home screen. Similar to the Redmi1S, you will have eye-catching themes and Lite mode feature with this device. The company has already released Android Kitkat based MIUI 6, but no announcements yet when it will get the upgrade,
Redmi Note: Processor:
Redmi Note runs on ‘true’ octa-core Mediatek processor clocked at 1.6GHz and coupled with 2GB RAM. The MediaTek MT6592 puts all eight cores on the work at the same time.
Redmi Note: Camera
If you are photo and selfie maniac, this budget Note offers you a bumper 13MP rear camera with LED flash and auto focus. The camera supports 1080p recording at 30fps. For selfie giants and video conferencing, you will get a 5MP front-facing camera. Other common camera features you will find here are geo-tagging, touch focus, face/smile detection and HDR.
Redmi Note: Connectivity
This budget Note is awesome on connectivity front. The device gives all the connectivity specifications including 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS and GLONASS.
Redmi Note: Storage
The Redmi Note offers 8GB internal storage that can be further expanded to 32 GB with a microSD slot. The device also supports sensors like accelerometer, gyro, proximity and compass.
Now it has already been confirmed that the Note will hit Indian market by the next month. The device will be sold via online retailers, probably Flipkart, with a price tag 9,999 INR.
