Microsoft, the owners of Skype is working on an upgraded version of Skype for iOS users. The upgrade would be around the feedback that the company has been receiving since it introduced new UI design early this year.
Following are some of the major changes you can expect in this new Skype version for iOs.
The new Skype will have a navigation bar to enable users have quick access to functionalities of the app such as chats, calls, capture, highlights, and contacts.
The app gets numeric badges in the navigation bar for chats, calls, and highlights. You can also change the color of interface that eventually would directly affect the navigation bar.
With the latest version of the app, you will have a separate notification screen which can be accessed by tapping the bell icon on the chats, calls, highlights, and contacts screens.
Moreover, to open your profile, you need to tap your avatar on the top bar. Now onward, you can find ‘Settings’ in the profile screen on the top right. The Skype app for iOs will be coming with a search bar relatively reduced in the size.
Alongside the above changes, this latest update would introduce improvements to the chat screen and message composer.
