Truecaller 8 for Android Announced with Video Calling and Truecaller Pay Feature

Renowned dialer app Truecaller has been updated with a list of awesome features. The app, which is now used by over 250 million users across the globe added Google Duo function to let users make video calls without leaving the app.

The company has announced a slew of new features apart from Google Duo with the latest Truecaller 8.0 update for Android users. During an event in New Delhi, the company announced Truecaller 8 for Android brand new features such as SMS, flash messaging, and Truecaller Pay.

The video calling feature will be rolled out for the users over the next few months for both Android and iOS users. The feature will be permission-based, which means users can opt out of using Duo services at any time.

In addition to video calling feature, Truecaller Pay was the highlight of the event.  Truecaller Pay has been launched in association with ICICI bank. The feature will allow users send and receive money within the app to any UPI ID or mobile number registered with the BHIM app.

The updated version of Truecaller app has been reduced in size, thus, will now consume relatively less memory in Play Store. Other notable features that have been added to the app are SIM indication feature, and a new option that allows users to paste a number into dial pad.

The latest version of the Truecaller app is now available for download in Google Play Store.
