Twitter is rolling out a major change to its platform by replacing ‘star’ shape with a ‘heart’ for marking tweets favorite. That means, you’ll use a heart shape icon rather a star to favorite a tweet. The change will be applicable both for Twitter and Vine. The feature was being tested since long but no one expected if it would be implemented actually.
Twitter believes that the company brought the change as the star was confusing to the newcomers. Across the languages and cultures, heart is used to convey similar emotions. Twitter’s live streaming service Periscope uses heart to indicate you love what you’re watching.
