Your favorite cross-platform chat buddy WhatsApp is going bigger by each passing day. The Facebook owned messenger has grabbed a milestone by reaching active user base of 900 million monthly.
In 2014 April, the number of active WhatsApp users was 500 million a month. This steep rise in the number of its active users is self evident that how popular this app is.
Both, Facebook and WhatsApp took this opportunity straight to say their heart. WhatsApp founder Jan Koum broke the story via his FB post:
WhatsApp now has 900 million monthly active users.
Facebook co-founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg then entered into the zone:
Congrats to Jan, the WhatsApp team and whole community on reaching 900 million people!
Another top executive, COO Facebook- Sheryl Sandberg shared her joy by clicking and sharing a funny photo of her with Kaum. She wrote:
900 million people now use WhatsApp every month to stay in touch with family and friends around the world. Congratulations to Jan Koum and everyone at WhatsApp on reaching this incredible milestone–and for still finding time to make us all laugh.
