After recent speculations and flip-flops, WhatsApp has finally rolled out voice calling feature for android Smartphone users. To avail the latest voice calling feature, users need have to download version 2.11.528 from the Play Store or version 2.11.531 from the WhatsApp website.
As stated in the website AndroidPolice, a user can activate the voice calling feature by receiving call from another user whose voice calling is already activated.
After receiving the call, you need to close and reopen the WhatsApp app installed on your phone. Once you reopen the app, instead of recent chats, you’ll see three tabs namely Calls, Chats and Contacts.
The call tab will show shows incoming, outgoing and missed calls at different timestamps. This time WhatsApp invite-window will be open for longer duration, unlike on previous occasions when it was open only for a couple of hours.
