Chinese handset maker Xiaomi has disclosed that its flagship Mi5 smartphones will come equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processors. Co-founder and senior VP of the company Liwan shared the news with a social media site that MI5 will come with Snapdragon 820.
Liwan also confirmed that the phone will be launched after the Chinese new year, starting from February 2016. The company will ensure adequate supply and enough units of the phone to manage the last moment rush. There were speculations earlier that Xiaomi’s Mi5 may not launch the device before April 2016.
On the specifications front, Xiaomi would be a fully loaded device. The MI5 will sport a 5.2-inch display. The device will be there in two major variants: 3GB of RAM with 32GB inbuilt storage, and 4GB of RAM with 64GB memory. The Smartphone will come packed with a 16-megapixel camera on the rear and a 13-megapixel camera on the front. The device will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow-based MIUI and will have a 3,600mAh durable battery.
