After announcing Redmi Pro in china back last year, Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi is planning to launch its advanced version Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro. To recall, Redmi Pro was a device with a dual-camera setup and an OLED display. The device was limited to the users of China, and now its successor is on the way.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro Leaked Specs
Some of the specs of Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro are leaked now. Specs suggest that the phone will have a brushed metal finish at the back and skip the dual-camera for a single lens with improved specs. The phone might feature a new sensor, the 12MP Sony IMX 362. This is a 1/2.55” sensor with large 1.4µm pixels and Dual Pixel autofocus. Reportedly it’s better than the 1µm pixels that are on the Mi Note and Mi Mix.

Other noteworthy features that Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro may possess include a larger 4,500mAh battery which is an up from 4,050mAh unit. The phone could come in two storage and RAM variants including one with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage and the other with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. Bothe the variants would be priced at Rs 18000 and Rs 16000 respectively. We have no clue about the phone’s chipset but it might be a MediaTek chipset, possibly a new Helio SoC.
