Noted Chinese handset-maker Xiaomi had sold over 1 million handsets and smartphones devices in India in third quarter of 2015. The company has said that the numbers are the highest ever since Xiaomi started selling its flagship devices in the country last year.
Manu Jain, India head, Xiaomi said:
“Our sales continue to grow every quarter, and we have witnessed an average quarterly growth rate of 45 per cent, which signifies huge momentum for our journey in India.
Additionally, our online selling platform Mi.com has been growing significantly since its launch in June 2015, recording over 10 million visits in the month of October itself. During our #DiwaliWithMi campaign, over 1 million unique visitors came to Mi.com on the first day of our sale (November 3).”
In an official note, the company said that during the third quarter of 2015, demand for almost all its devices increased. Redmi 2, however, was the top selling Smartphone among all.
