Google Tests Double Product Listing Ads Carousels in Search
A new test is being carried out by Google to show up a new double Product Listing Ads carousel in the mobile search results. As soon the feature goes live, instead of a regular single carousel, you can see Google running two individual carousels stacked on top of each other.
Double Product Listing Ads Carousels
For the purpose, Google may be using two of the most popular styles of carousels. First is the regular product view for the PLA carousels and the second is the “Shop by store” variation that includes multiple different stores for the type of product.
Point to be noted is that no additional ads will be displayed underneath the carousels. That means AdWords advertisers won’t get opportunity to display their ads for this search. Only those in the product listing ads will like be displayed at the top of the search results.
On the contrary, regular AdWords ads will be available with only one carousel. It’s quite unusual when Google tends to show two carousels instead of just a single one. Stay tuned for more on this.
